Looking for Help with One of Your Household Bills?
Our Household Essentials Support Grant is designed to provide families with one-time financial relief during the challenges of a serious diagnosis.
This program offers grants of up to $1,000 to help cover a specific household bill such as utilities or rent. The purpose of this grant is to support patients and families during a transitional period of treatment or recovery, easing the burden of immediate financial strain so you can focus on what matters most — caring for yourself or your loved one.
To simplify the process, approved grants are paid directly to the service provider on your behalf. Please note, however, that this is a one-time grant. Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to approve every application, and grants must be distributed to those with the greatest demonstrated need.
Applicants will be asked to submit documentation to verify their eligibility for assistance. This includes:
- A letter from patient’s doctor that must include:
- Date of diagnosis
- Patient’s diagnosis including stage
- Current status of treatment
- Doctor’s contact information
- Documentation to verify the household’s financial situation, including but not limited to:
- Recent billing statements for all household expenses listed in application
- Bank statements showing income and expenses
- Most recent tax return(s)
- Pay stubs or other proof of income
